Doug Roberson
President, CEO
Doug graduated from Berry College with a Bachelor of Science degree. He has over 20 years of experience in the Construction Industry. Doug has completed projects that ranged from retail remodels/finish outs to new building construction. Emphasis of experience includes: estimating, bidding, value engineering, job-site supervision, and project management. Since starting SGC in 2012, Doug prides himself on making sure that he does quality work on time and in budget. He also focuses on building a relationship with customers and making sure they are happy with the final result. Doug has elevated service standards which allow Southern General Contractors to have an unequaled reputation.
C.D. (Danny) Dangler
Project Manager/Superintendent
Danny has over 47 years of experience in the construction industry. Before coming to work for Southern General Contractors, Danny was the owner of C.D. Dangler Construction, Inc. from 1986 to 2008. As owner, he completed over $250 million in construction projects in 22 different states. Danny was also the owner of J&D Grading LLC for seven years. He started working for Southern General Contractors in 2012 as a Project Manager/Superintendent. Danny has experience in building both commercial and residential buildings.
Gene Bennett
Superintendent
Gene has over thirty years of extensive construction experience which includes some residential, but mostly commercial construction. His background is in commercial concrete, consisting of large projects such as tilt walls, suspended floors, and all types of concrete construction. Gene has built petro-chemical refineries, schools, medical facilities, restaurants and hotels. He takes pride in a job well done and completing projects on time, and with attention to detail.
Michael Roberson
Project Manager / Superintendent
Michael received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Technology Degree from Southern Polytechnic State University. In his 16 years of working in the construction industry, he has worked as a construction surveyor, project engineer, small business owner, and a superintendent. Some of the projects Michael has worked on include: the Rome Braves Stadium, Commercial and Residential Developments, and a 200+ acre subdivision.
